Endeavour dairy unit is part of Pāmu’s Wairakei estate located 20 km north of Taupo in the central north island. We are looking for a motivated dairy assistant to join our team ASAP. Endeavour is 765ha and has excellent facilities including 60 bale rotary shed with meal feeders and milk hub. The farm also has a cow barn for 800 cows. We run a split calving system with 700 cows calving in the autumn and 1100 in the spring.
This is no ordinary farm and we are looking for an extraordinary person to fit into our team of 10 full time staff including our long term farm manager. Due to the size of the team you need to be able to relate to people from different backgrounds and be willing to learn.
Endeavour has a history of training people that move forward in the dairy industry so personal development is a priority for us with training provided to help you achieve your goals.
You must also bring:
· Be reliable
· Have the ability to work unsupervised
· A first class attitude towards health and safety and animal welfare.
· Good communication skills.
· Either a restricted or full time drivers licence.
· Passion for the dairy industry.
· Take pride in their working environment
The position comes with a three bedroom home and competitive remuneration package and fantastic roster. School busses are available at the gate and there are plenty of recreational activities located nearby.
