The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven individual who has a passion for dairy farming to join us on Discovery Farm as a Dairy Production Manager. 

Responsibilities include assisting the Farm Manager with planning and management of the herd and dairy operations, feed allocation and budgeting, animal health and breeding, animal record keeping, and staff supervision. 

We are looking for an individual with a willingness to learn new technology who has a passion to grow a career in the dairy industry.

The Farm
Discovery is located in close distance to Taupo and is approximately 300 effective ha, which will milk 760 cows through a 54-bail rotary. 

About You
You will have a positive attitude and good foundational dairy farm experience looking to develop and grow your career.

You will also have:
• Minimum 2 years’ dairy farming experience
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and motivational skills.
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent knowledge and implementation of grazing and pasture management, feed budgeting and profit maximisation or an exceptional willingness to grow your skillset in these areas.
• First class attitude to Health and Safety and Animal Welfare
• Self-motivation, initiative, and a passion for dairy farming
• Restricted or full driver’s licence
