Exciting, varied opportunity where you’ll do general maintenance and fencing, and manage your own day on a livestock farm.
The Opportunity
From driving a tractor to taking on responsibilities for new and repair fencing requirements, maintenance work and weed control. you’ll help this farm keep thriving. Joining our close-knit team, you’ll spend most of your time fencing, repairs and maintenance, in the tractor, general farm maintenance and working with stock in the yards from time to time.
The Farm
Aratiatia Farm is in a beautiful part of the country, just a quick 10 minutes’ drive from Taupo. The property runs 19,500 stock units over 1,989 ha which will include working with sheep, beef cattle and dairy graziers.
About You
You can adapt and turn your hand to most things on farm, not afraid to get stuck in and get it done. You can work independently, managing your day and enjoy working outdoors.
You will also have:
· Proven experience in fencing, and general maintenance, including water systems
· Ability to operate a large tractor for feeding out
· Excellent communication skills
· Good time management
· First class attitude to Health and Safety
· Positive attitude and initiative
· Current NZ driver’s licence
