An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of 20+ people at Rangitaiki as Deer Head Shepherd.
 
Rangitaiki Station is a large-scale sheep, beef and deer enterprise centrally located approximately 35 minutes east of Taupo, with 80,000 su and 8,300 ha effective.
 
You will lead a team of 3 based predominately within the 3700ha deer unit running a 7500 breeding hind breeding and finishing system focused on producing quality venison; with the integration of sheep and cattle throughout.
The role is a senior role within the sheep, beef & deer system; and is part of a wider team of 20+ people on the station.
 
You will bring

·       Good stock and pasture skills – with some deer experience.

·       Technical skills and ability to learn new systems.

The position comes with a three-bedroom home suitable for both families and single applicants.
A local primary school is close by and a school bus at the end of the road for children attending Rangitaiki School, and secondary schools in Taupo.
