Orakonui is a large dairy support operation based close to Taupo, operating on the Wairakei Estate.
 
The Opportunity
Do you enjoy a dynamic working environment, this is a diverse role, assisting with fencing, repairs and maintenance, operating machinery, general farm, and stock work.
 
About You
Are you a practically minded ‘doer’ who is resourceful and open to doing a range of tasks within a farm setting.
 
You will have:
·       Proven experience in fencing and general maintenance
·       Proven experience in operating tractors or large machines
·       Understanding and interest in variety of general farm work
·       Effective communication skills
·       A ‘can do’ and ‘team orientated’ attitude
·       Ability to work alone and self-manage
·       Good time management skills
·       Commitment to high standards of quality and safety
·       Current clean full NZ driver’s licence (Extra licences would be beneficial)
 
About Us
Orakonui is a large dairy support operation based close to Taupo operating on the Wairakei Estate.
 
We run a mixture of dairy heifer calves and yearlings, dairy beef finishing and bulls. Spread over 2350ha’s in 5 geographic block areas, it is no small operation.
Orakonui has a great team with a can do and supportive culture which works closely with the 19 dairy farms which we support.
