The Opportunity
Are you an enthusiastic Dairy Farm Assistant looking for your next role, join our team on Endurance Dairy Unit.
 
You will join our close-knit team of four, and your main responsibilities will include milking, setting up accurate breaks fencing, feeding out, weed control and stock work. 
 
This is an excellent opportunity to secure continuous work in a large farming organisation with opportunity for growth and development.
 
The roster is 6/2 for six months of the year over calving and mating, and then 6/3 for the remainder of the year.

The Farm
Endurance Dairy is tucked away in the central plateau as part of Pāmu’s Taupo Pastoral Complex.
 
Endurance has a twice a day milking operation with 830 cows milked through a 54-bail rotary shed.
 
The farm team is made up of a team of four (including the Farm Manager) and they all lead by example.  They work hard, look out for each other, and ensure the safety of our animals and our staff.
 
Excellent schooling options nearby. Friendly and supportive local community with school bus and easy access to a wide range of recreational activities.
 
About You
You have a positive can-do attitude, passion and enthusiasm for dairy farming.
 
You will also have:
·         Farm experience preferred but willingness to learn will be essential
·         Excellent work ethic and positive outlook also able to use your initiative and follow day to day plans
·          Ability to ride a two-wheel motorcycle and drive a side by side (training can be provided)
·         First class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Management.
·         Great team player and effective communication skills.
·         Restricted or full NZ driver’s licence.
