We’re seeking a highly motivated and passionate Shepherd General to join our team at Freestone Station.
There will be a wide range of duties including stock work, operating machinery, fencing and general farm work. To be successful in the role you’ll have a great attitude, enjoy a challenge, be a team player and have an excellent work ethic.
Situated close toManapouri and Te Anau, Freestone is a 720 ha property running 5000 su comprising sheep, beef and deer. Freestone’s focus is the Freestone Romney breeding program and the Wapiti Deer terminal sire breeding program along with supporting stock.
You will bring:
· A passion and interest in working with sheep, beef and deer.
· Great attitude
· Enthusiasm to work within a supportive team
· 1-2 years experience
· Effective communication skills
· 1 well controlled working dog
· Commitment to high standards of quality, safety and animal welfare
· Current and full NZ driver’s license
