The Opportunity
This role involves a wide range of duties including sheep and cattle work, shearing, weaning etc, as well general farm work. It is a perfect position for a passionate Shepherd who has a can-do attitude and exceptional work ethic.
You’ll be inquisitive, self-directed, and be open to new ways of thinking. You’ll know what’s expected of you on a day-to-day basis and will be able to deliver operationally.
The Farm
Tutamoe Station is a 1,966 effective ha property located 50 km inland and approximately 40 minutes from Tolaga Bay. This sheep and beef property runs 20,000 su including 10,000 ewes, 3250 hoggets and 850 mixed age cows.
Tutamoe is an extensive, high performing medium to steep hill country station, and regularly uses horses for stock work.
About You
You will have:
· Good stock sense and at least three to four genuine working dogs
· Commitment and a first-class attitude to health & safety
· Possess excellent communication skills
· Enjoy working in a team environment
· A full and current NZ driver’s licence
