The Opportunity

The Farm
Rangitāiki Station is New Zealand’s third largest farm, and Pāmu’s second largest farm, with 8,067 ha supporting 85,000 stock units in sheep, beef & deer – breeding and finishing.
 
You will join a cohesive and close-knit wider team of 24 on Rangitāiki Station – contributing to the strong team culture as an individual.
 
Key components of the role includes working within a team of 7 motivated staff within our Sheep, Beef & Deer unit across an area of 5,300Ha; running a farm system that currently includes 8,800 Ewes (& Progeny), a large scale cattle trading operation running Bulls & Steers plus 2,000 Hinds (& Progeny) & a growing velveting operation.
 
Experience working with deer is favourable, however we can upskill somebody who is passionate and keen to learn.
 
About You
We'd love to hear from you if you have excellent communication skills, are punctual and have a positive, can-do attitude that will contribute to our strong team culture. You'll have an interest in technical and intensive farming practises with a focus on high production as well as strong pasture and animal husbandry skills. Along with good attention to detail, you'll work with only the highest level of health and safety standards.
You will also have:
·         Willingness to learn and develop
·         Interest in intensive farm systems, and performance
·         A team of quality working dogs
·         General practical farming skills would be of benefit
·         Full driver’s license
