The Opportunity
As a Calf Rearer, your day-to-day activities may consist of feeding calves, picking up calves, administering animal health treatments and processing calves through the cattle yards.
 
We have a robust health and safety regime at Pāmu, and have well maintained, up to date farm equipment that you’ll be able to use.
 
This is a fixed term from early July to end of October 2024.
 
The Farm
Pinta Dairy Unit is Pāmu’s largest dairy farm, milking 2,100 dairy cows on 850 ha through our 80-bail rotary dairy shed.  This farm has a manager with an open, communicative style – taking care to explain the “why” around decisions so that the team has good context.
 
About You
You will have a positive attitude and willingness to learn looking to develop and grow your dairy career. This is a drive in/drive out position, so reliable transport is a must.
 
You will also have:
·         An exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare
·         Be punctual and reliable
·         The ability to work unsupervised and good communication skills
·         Take pride in your work and surrounding environment
·         Restricted or full driver’s licence
