The Opportunity
We are looking for a driven Assistant Production Manager to join our team on Resolution Dairy Unit.
 
You will join our close-knit team and your main responsibilities will include milking, fencing, feeding out and stock work.  You will also work closely with the Dairy Production Manager (2IC) to plan and help manage the daily operations of the farm. This is an excellent development opportunity for an individual looking to take the next step in their farming career.
 
The Farm
Resolution Dairy Unit is a seasonal supply dairy farm in a farm complex of 19, with 525 effective ha milking 1,080 cows at peak through a 60-bail rotary.  It’s got a close-knit team that performs well and has good housing and facilities, including an in-shed feeder and milk hub data system.  We offer 104 rostered days off per season, so you’ll be able to have a life outside of work.
 
About You
The main thing you will bring to this role is a positive can-do attitude, with passion and enthusiasm for dairy farming!
 
You will also have:
·         Experience in animal health and pasture management
·         A minimum of 2 years’ experience in dairy farming (preferred)
·         First class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Management
·         Passion and enthusiasm for dairy farming
·         Knowledge of modern NZ dairy farming practices
·         Great team player and effective communication skills
·         Pride in your work and surrounding environment
·         Restricted or full NZ driver’s licence
