New year, new job – Grow your dairy career and support the Farm Manager at Pinta Dairy Farm based just outside of Taupo

The Opportunity

Pinta Dairy Unit is Pāmu’s largest dairy farm, milking 2,100 dairy cows on 853ha through our 80-bail rotary dairy shed.  

Your responsibilities include assisting with milking, fencing and general stock work as well as helping the Farm Manager to reach production targets by adopting a leadership role within the cow shed during milking’s along and supporting feed allocation and farm maintenance. We will also be refurbishing the cow shed this year so you will be working with a brand new shed.

You’ll plan staff rotations with a 6/2 roster nine months of the year, and a 6/3 roster for three months of the year.  With 104 days off per year, you’ll have great work-life balance.

About You

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and passionate about dairy farming who is wanting to grow their career and develop leadership skills.
 
You will also have:
·       A minimum of 3 years dairy experience
·       Eagerness to learn and get involved in daily work planning
·       Effective communication skills
·       First class attitude to Health and Safety and Animal Welfare
·       Restricted or full driver’s licence
