The Opportunity
Are you an enthusiastic Dairy Farm Assistant looking to join our close-knit team on Hirst Dairy?
Your main responsibilities will include milking, fencing, feeding out and stock work.
Fixed-term from now until the end of January 2025.
This is a drive-in role, so reliable transport is a must. The location is about 25 minutes from Taupō.
The Farm
Hirst Dairy Farm is a 650-cow farm in a complex of 21, with 265 effective ha milking cows through a 54-bail rotary. We have a strong team of three that perform well, and we have good facilities, including a cow shed pro-track drafting system.
About You
Bring your positive can-do attitude, with passion and enthusiasm for dairy farming.
You will also have:
· A minimum of 1 seasons’ experience in dairy farming (preferred)
· First class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare
· Great team player and effective communication skills
· Restricted or full NZ driver’s licence
· Reliable Transport
