The Opportunity
Join us at Rangiputa Station, a vibrant and performance-driven farm on the stunning Karikari Peninsula. As a Stock Manager, you will lead, inspire, and develop a dedicated team of shepherds, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of our extensive farm.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure accurate and timely stock data recording and reporting.
· Assist the Farm Manager in planning and executing farming operations.
· Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of shepherds.
· Manage and update farm data records using Farmax, Farm IQ, and other systems.
· Optimize farm performance and improve operational processes.
The Farm
Rangiputa Station is a 3,300-ha property, located 30 km northeast of Kaitaia, is a hub of activity, currently lambing 3,000 ewes, calving 1,300 cows, and fattening approximately 2,300 bulls in an intensive system.
We pride ourselves on excellence, evidenced by our wins in the 2022 Regional Pasture to Plate competition and the Food Challenge at the national Silver Fern Farms awards.
About You
Are you passionate about stock management, with solid experience in sheep and beef farming and you have:
· A genuine enthusiasm for stock management
· Excellent attention to detail for maintaining records
· Strong time and people management skills
· Commitment to high standards of quality and safety
· A full team of capable dogs and a current NZ driver’s license
