Renown is located near Taupo and we are looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant to join us in August. We milk 1550 cows through a 60 bail rotary shed on 640 ha on a once-a-day basis. Your day to day activities will involve bringing the cows in for milking, doing the milking, shifting both the cows and the young stock, etc. Excellent animal husbandry skills as well as a high standard of health and safety will be the keys to success in this role.

We have a robust health and safety regime at Pāmu, and have well maintained, up to date farm equipment that you’ll be able to use.  After your competency assessed and once safety trained, you’ll be able to use the ute, tractor, side by side, two wheeler, etc., to get your job done.

You will work in a roster system with 95 hours per fortnight.

You will bring:
·     A minimum of 9 months Dairy Assistant experience (ITO level 2 preferred)
·       Eagerness to learn
·       Effective communication skills
·       First class attitude to Health and Safety and Animal Welfare
·       Self-motivation, initiative and a passion for dairy farming
·       Restricted or full driver’s licence
