The Opportunity
As a Calf Rearer your day-to-day activities may consist of feeding calves, picking up calves, administering animal health treatments and processing calves through the cattle yards.
 
We have a robust health and safety regime at Pāmu, and have well maintained, up to date farm equipment that you’ll be able to use.
 
This is a fixed term from early mid-July to end of November
 
The Farm
Broadlands is a 515 ha dairy farm with irrigated pumice soils and excellent facilities including a 80 bale rotary shed with meal feeders and milk hub. We milk 1150 Friesian cross cows. Broadlands started converting to an organic system from October 2020, so you'll have a unique opportunity to learn the organics side of farming.

About You
You will have a positive attitude and willingness to learn looking to develop and grow your dairy career. This is a drive in/drive out position, so reliable transport is a must.
 
You will also have:
·         An exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare
·         Be punctual and reliable
·         The ability to work unsupervised and good communication skills
·         Take pride in your work and surrounding environment
·         Restricted or full driver’s licence
