The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, a rare opportunity has come about for a Beef Finishing Specialist to join our hardworking team at Omamari.   
 
The Farm Manager would support you with the responsibilities of running a designated block within the farm, which amongst other things focuses on finishing bulls in a large techno system.  You would be responsible for a 440ha block, which will have 600 bulls on it, farm maintenance, upkeep of fences, the water system, general stock work and supporting other team members.
 
You will work in with the rest of the farm team to help each other out at busy times.

About You
You will bring your passion, experience and can-do attitude to our team.
 
Ideally you will have:
·              At least a couple of year’s farming experience
 
You will bring:
·              Commitment to high standards of quality and safety
·              At least one dog (required)
·              Excellent communication skills
·              Enjoy working in a team environment and an ability to self-manage
·              A current NZ driver’s license
 
The Farm
Omamari is 1600ha effective hill country farm, specialising in Beef Production. We are currently hoping to finish 2800 predominantly Friesian Bulls annually.
 
Omamari station is located in a beautiful setting just 25 minutes from Kai Iwi Lakes and Ripiro Beach. With Dargaville, only 20 minutes away, primary and secondary schooling are located nearby with the school bus at the gate.  And there is plenty of hunting and fishing in the area.
