Assistant Production Manager - Thompsons Dairy

Due to an internal transfer, we are now looking for a motivated Assistant Production Manager who is available for an immediate start! Thompsons is located 15 minutes from Reefton and 45 minutes from Greymouth. This 300 ha farm milks 700 cows at peak through a 54 bale rotary with ACR’s and MilkHub.
This position will work closely with the Dairy Production Manager (2IC) to plan and help manage the daily operations of the farm, therefore having good experience in animal health and pasture management is essential to being successful in this role.

3-bedroom house is available for the successful candidate. The location offers a friendly local community and easy access to a range of outdoor recreational activities. We offer an attractive salary with additional benefits, as well as training and development opportunities!

What you will bring:
 
·       A minimum of 2 years NZ dairy farming experience
·       First class attitude to Health and Safety and Animal Welfare
·       Be self-motivated and show passion for dairy farming
·       Some computer skills and a willingness to learn
·       A good eye for detail and effective communication skills
·       Current NZ driver’s licence
