Be responsible for the effective operation of the Pastoral Complex of Pāmu Farms of New Zealand.

The Opportunity
You will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Pāmu Pastoral Office function while supporting the Upper North Island region by ensuring that the various support services (e.g. reception, administrative and building services, travel & event management) are managed.

The Pastoral Office is a hub of activity supporting more than 40 farms in the Upper North Island.

The position also ensures that house inspections across several farms are carried out according to requirements and supports Business Managers with effective management of these assets.

This is a role if you enjoy people and variety, as you will represent Pāmu in almost all of your daily interactions, working across our organisation with:  Farm Managers, General and Business Managers, Farm Workers, Corporate Staff, Board Members, Contractors and Visitors etc….

You will provide office and administration support to ensure the Upper North Island Region runs efficiently and effectively. 

A typical day could include:
·         Responding to office enquiries and managing mail/courier requirements
·         Coordinating travel bookings, events management and arrangements
·         Assisting with setting up of meetings, taking minutes etc…
·         Supporting maintenance of accounts with the Wellington Office Accounts team
·         Coordinating training events for the on-farm teams and training providers
·         Updating databases and information records as needed

About You
You will be motivated, adaptable, and able to work with some ambiguity as you multi-task your day.   You can work independently and enjoy being part of the team.   

You would also have:
·         Experience in a busy, customer facing office coordination/management role
·         A genuine interest in people and a strong customer focus
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·         Competency with a variety of MS Office programmes and systems
·         The ability to tailor your approach to the situation
