Looking for a chance to progress your career in a management position? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Dairy Farm Manager to lead our team on Ruru Dairy Unit. Part of Pāmu’s Weka Complex, located 10 minutes from Lake Brunner, 40 minutes from a ski field, 30 minutes from Greymouth and two and a half hours from Christchurch.
Ruru is a 441 effective ha block, milking 830 cows through a 60 bail rotary with ACR’s and MilkHub technology. To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent leadership capability, a willingness to learn new systems and you’ll value the same things we do; people, animals and the environment. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day operations of the farm whilst working closely with the Business Manager to deliver quality results.
Excellent housing is available for the successful candidate. The location offers great access to a wide range of recreational activities and local schooling within a friendly community. Bus pick-ups from farm gate.
You will bring:
· Strong New Zealand dairy farming experience
· Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to use farm management technology systems and record keeping equipment
· Effective time and people management skills
· First class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Management
· Current and full NZ drivers licence
