840 effective ha block milking 2000 cows through a 60-bail rotary based just outside of Taupō

 

 

As a Dariy Farm Assistant on Achilles Dairy, you will work with a supportive Manager and high performing team, you could expect your day to include bringing the cows in for milking, milking, shifting cows and the young stock and other duties as needed.

 

We have a robust health and safety regime at Pāmu, and have well maintained, up to date farm equipment that you’ll be able to use.  After your competency assessed and once safety trained, you’ll be able to use the ute, tractor, side by side, two-wheeler, etc., to get your job done.

 

You will work in a roster system with 95 hours per fortnight.

 

Achilles Dairy Unit is part of Pāmu Pastoral Complex, located 15 minutes from Taupō. This is an 840 effective ha block which will milk approximately 2000 cows through a 60-bail rotary shed.

Along with a positive attitude and willingness to learn, you will have:

·         At least one year of dairy farming experience

·         An exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare

·         Be punctual and reliable

·         The ability to work unsupervised and good communication skills

·         Take pride in their work and surrounding environment

·         Restricted or full driver’s licence
