As a Dairy Farm Assistant, you will be bringing the cows in for milking, doing the milking, shifting both the cows and the young stock plus other duties as required. You will work in a roster system with 104 days off per year.

We have a robust health and safety regime at Pāmu, and have well maintained, up to date farm equipment that you’ll be able to use.  After your competency assessed and once safety trained, depending on the farm, you’ll be able to use a variety of on-farm vehicles to get your job done.

We have over 10 farms on the West Coast, we have opportunities from Westport to Greymouth. These farms are varying sizes and specialities, so there are many opportunities to develop and grow your career within the region.

You will have a positive attitude and good foundational dairy farm experience or willingness to learn looking to develop and grow your dairy career.

Along with a positive attitude and willingness to learn, you will have:

·         An exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare

·         Be punctual and reliable

·         The ability to work unsupervised and good communication skills

·         Take pride in your work and surrounding environment

·         Restricted or full driver’s licence
