Wellington, New Zealand /
Sustainability and Farming Systems – Data and Systems Analysis /
Permanent - Off Farm
Are you a manager who can positively develop a team, establish and maintain strong working relationships, and demonstrate the value of data in decision making?  Do you know how to harness systems to collect information across the entire supply chain, draw out insights and apply them to real-world issues?  This role could be just what you’re looking for.

We’ve established the role of Farm Data & Information Manager to lead a team of Data, Systems and Geospatial Analysts to provide data-based solutions to our progressive, future-focused business, that has sustainability and innovation front of mind.  Day to day you’ll be working with our business and farm managers to learn about their challenges and provide insights from data analysis that will help them to make robust business decisions.  As part of our broader Sustainability and Farming Systems group, you’ll be leading and developing a strong technical team to achieve results as they partner with the business.

Agricultural experience is not required.  An inquisitive nature and the willingness to learn and add value is what we’re looking for.  You’ll understand the interface between technology and operations and will develop an understanding of agriculture as you partner with the business to help solve problems and identify opportunities using a data-based approach.  We’ll also be looking to you to ensure that the technology we’re using is up to date and fit for purpose.

You’ll have a strong presence and a positive communication style that will enable you to instil confidence in your team and senior leaders in our business.

If you thrive on innovation and know your way around information systems, we would love to hear from you. For a confidential discussion, contact Todd Firman at firmant@landcorp.co.nz  We’ll be contacting qualified applicants as they come in, with applications closing on 18th October 2020.
