If you’re a positive, self-motivated Stock Manager looking for an opportunity where you’ll be valued and developed, this could be the right job for you to consider.  We’re a 1781 ha effective, busy farm supporting sheep, deer and cattle.  This Farm has a Romney Breeding programme that supplies sires to Pāmu’s commercial clients and external clients.  This is a genuine and rare opportunity to really grow your career and gain exposure to the wider livestock industry. 

Working closely with a positive, supportive Farm Manager, you will have good planning skills and a strong delivery focus.  You’ll care deeply about the animals you grow and the land that you work on.  You’ll be well versed in animal health and management.  You’ll be a confident communicator and will contribute towards the mentoring of other farm staff. 

As our Stock Manager, the work that you’ll lead on this farm is very important to Pāmu’s farm production systems nationwide.  We’re a close-knit, professional and flexible team.  You’ll be working with people who are honest, work hard together, communicate well, support one other, respect each other and have fun – and we expect the same from anyone who joins us.  You and your well-controlled team of dogs will be able to put your passion to work and feel a real sense of pride that comes from your own contribution as well as the strength of your team and the quality animals that we raise. 

This farm is in a great location surrounded by a supportive community.  There are sports team close by and lots of outdoor recreation.  We run a five on / two off roster which means that you’ll work one weekend every five weeks when we’re fully staffed.  You’ll be able to schedule in family time, be involved in sports, go to the gym, hang out with friends, etc.
