The Opportunity
You’ll join a supportive team and work in a learning and development environment where you can grow your skillset and gain valuable experience, all while maintaining a good work-life balance with our 6/2 roster.
A typical day usually includes milking, break fencing, assisting with feeding calves during calving season, spraying, and some tractor work when required.
The Farm
Located 10 minutes south of Westport, close to the school bus stop and the location allows easy access to a wide range of recreational activities.
Tram is a unique dairy farm due to its undulating terrain and significant amount of QE2 and DOC reserves within its boundary.
· 880 Kiwi Cross Cows peak milk
· 60 bail rotary with ACRs and Milk Hub
· Approx 374ha eff and 300 ha bush
· Rolling terrain with sandy soil
About You
You’ll bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn and be able to work unsupervised.
You will also have:
· Effective communication skills and a good sense of humour
· A willingness to learn and the ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
· First class attitude to Health and Safety and Animal Welfare
· Current NZ driver’s license
