Join our team on Victory Dairy with rostered days where training and development are available.
The Opportunity
As a Dairy Farm Assistant, you will be bringing the cows in for milking, doing the milking, shifting both the cows and the young stock and calf rearing if this is something that interests you etc.
This team operates as a whole – no one job is left only to one person.  Sharing knowledge and pitching in as well as having regular 1/1 time with the Farm Manager to develop your technical skills are a real plus on this property. 
We use a variety of farm vehicles here, including motorcycles and a side-by-side.  If you’re not confident on motorcycles, we are happy to train you up. You will work in a roster system with 95 hours per fortnight.
Please note: This is a fixed-term position from April 2024 until the end of September 2024.
The Farm
Milking 950 cows through a 54-bail rotary shed twice a day, there’s a lot going on at Victory Dairy Unit.  This farm has a supportive farm manager and a strong 2IC.  We’re an A2 milk supplier.  Our team all value and consistently demonstrate high standards of animal health and management techniques to continue to yield excellent results.
About You
We are looking for a team player who will bring a positive attitude to our highly motivated team.  This is a drive in/drive out position, so reliable transport is a must.
Along with a positive attitude and willingness to learn, you will have:
•               Be punctual and reliable
•               1-2 years dairy experience
•               An exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare
•               A good eye for detail and a willingness to learn
•               Restricted or full driver’s licence
