Centre Hill Station is centrally located 10 minutes north of Mossburn, 40 minutes from Te Anau and an hour from Invercargill, Gore or Queenstown. This 4400 ha property runs 35,000 su including 18,500 romney ewes and 1100incalf cows and heifers carrying all calves thro to yearlings and finishing approx half the lambs with the balance transferred to other finishing properties. This is a great opportunity for a high performer wishing to join our team and advance within a progressive organisation.
Pāmu is a State-Owned Enterprise with a nationwide portfolio of farms that produce milk, beef, lamb, wool, venison, deer velvet, wood and more.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
A sound knowledge of modern intensive farming practices
Have excellent pasture management and feed budgeting skills
Be able to keep up-to-date and accurate records
Have a good team of well controlled working dogs
Have good communication skills
Have some computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems
Have a current New Zealand full driver’s licence
This role comes with comfortable sound shared accommodation. Centre Hill Station is nearby to the Oreti River and recreational activities such as hunting and fishing.
