Opouahi Station has an opening for a motivated Stock Manager to join the team.

Situated in Hawke’s Bay, 45 minutes north of Napier, Opouahi Station winters 17,000su on a 1650ha grazing platform of productive hill country with the main focus being on livestock performance, pasture production and team culture.

Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day to day operations on the farm, including planning and monitoring of livestock rotations and performance.

We are looking for a Stock Manager who has:

·       Open communication skills with the ability to manage a team
·       A positive attitude with a drive to develop key skillsets
·       An ability to accurately record and report farm activities
·       A strong work ethic with a focus on planning and efficiency
·       A positive outlook on Health and Safety in the workplace
·       Competency or willingness and the ability to learn modern farming practices i.e environmental regulations, easd, nait, Farm IQ and Farmax.
·       A capable team of dogs and great stockmanship
