We have an opportunity for a Farm Assistant to join us at Eyrewell Dairy Farm.

 

Main responsibilities will include milking, fencing, spraying, feeding out and general farm duties and stock work including calf rearing. The ideal candidate will have strong health and safety awareness and be a positive team player.

 

Located in West Eyreton, 10 minutes from Oxford and 25 minutes from Rangiora. This is a 400 effective ha farm and milks 950 cows through a 60-bale rotary, rearing heifer replacement calves.

 

It’s important you’re team player who will bring a positive attitude to our highly motivated team. Personal development is encouraged and supported, with all team members encouraged to upskill, through Ag ITO.

 

Along with your positive attitude, you will have:

·         Some experience with livestock would be an advantage but is not essential.

·         An exceptional attitude towards Health and Safety, and Animal Welfare,

·         Sound knowledge of current NZ dairy farming practices.

·         Experience in Farm IQ, Milk Hub or any other FMS is preferable but no essential.

·         Restricted or full NZ driver’s licence is a must.
