·         Drive on role, located 10 minutes from Oxford and 25 from Rangiora
 
Join our team on Eyrewell Dairy, rearing approximately 340 calves this season.
 
The Opportunity
We need a fixed-term Calf Rearer to join Eyrewell Dairy during our busy calving season.
 
You will assist with rearing all heifer replacements and bobby calves, while they are housed.  You will need to be flexible on work hours depending on seasonal requirements.  This is a drive in/drive out positions, so reliable transport is a must.
 
The fixed term contract will be from August through to mid-November. 
 
The Farm
Eyrewell Dairy is in West Eyreton, 10 minutes from Oxford and 25 minutes from Rangiora. This is a 400 effective ha farm and milks 650-700 cows through a 60-bale rotary, rearing 160 heifer replacement calves and a beef system with 180 bull calves.
 
About You
You will need to have:
•               Be punctual and reliable
•               The ability to work unsupervised
•               An exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare
•               Preferred calf rearing experience or stock experience
•               Able to lift 20 kg
•               Effective communication skills and a good eye for detail
•               Take pride in their work and surrounding environment
•               Restricted or full driver’s license
