Are you looking for an opportunity to progress your career in a Dairy Farm management position? We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to become our next Farm Manager and lead our team on Thompsons Dairy Unit.
Thompsons Dairy Unit is made up of a team of four, located 15 minutes from Reefton and 45 minutes from Greymouth. The farm is a 307 effective ha property peak milking 680 cows through a 54 bail rotary with ACR’s and MilkHub.
This is a leadership role, so we’re looking for someone with excellent leadership skills or capability, first and foremost. It’s also critical you genuinely value people, animals and the environment, and have a willingness to learn new systems.
The things we are looking for in our next Farm Manager for Thompsons Dairy Unit include:
·       Solid Dairy Farming experience
·       Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
·       Good all-round communication skills
·       Effective people management skills
·       Effective time management skills
·       Ability to use farm management technology systems and record keeping equipment
·       First class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Management
·       Current and full NZ drivers licence
