Position Summary:
The Head of Transformation & Operational Effectiveness is a senior leader in the COO Office responsible for turning Panopto’s strategic priorities into outcomes. This role ensures that transformation priorities, revenue goals, and customer outcomes are delivered through disciplined operating structures, transparent tracking, and consistent execution.
This role is responsible for driving enterprise-wide transformation. Reporting into the COO, this leader owns the company’s operating rhythm, manages the company initiative portfolio, and plays a critical role in board governance and reporting discipline. Acting as strategist, operator, and builder, this leader connects GTM teams, Product, Engineering, and Operations to remove barriers, enable execution velocity, and ensure Panopto presents itself with clarity to the ELT and the Board.
In this role, you will
- Own the operating rhythm: Design and run an effective, company-wide cadence for planning, priorities, reviews, and retrospectives. Establish “one tracker, one nomenclature, one truth.”
- Own the company’s meeting architecture: Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of all company-wide meetings—including ELT sessions, SLT sessions, company town halls, and board meetings—by setting agendas, driving content and deck creation, coordinating logistics, and ensuring each meeting results in clear decisions, follow-through, and visible alignment.
- Translate strategy into execution: Lead cross-functional programs that deliver Panopto’s Rallying Cry and Defining Objectives, transformation priorities, revenue goals, and customer outcomes.
- Run the company initiative portfolio: Manage the enterprise-wide portfolio, including initiative health, risks, dependencies, budgets, and accountability. Escalate early and unblock quickly.
- Stand up a lean PMO: Build lightweight standards for scope, timelines, RAID, communications, and change control. Coach initiative owners to adopt them.
- Drive board and ELT readiness: Own the cadence and preparation for ELT and Board meetings, refining how Panopto presents its strategy, progress, and impact. Deliver clear, disciplined reporting and follow-through.
- Orchestrate change management: Partner with PX, Comms, and functional leaders to ensure organizational changes land with clarity, training, and measurable adoption.
- Enable integrations and acquisitions: Support COO and ELT in diligence and post-deal integration, ensuring smooth transitions from strategy into execution.
- Make data useful: Define metrics for initiatives, build dashboards with RevOps, Biz Systems, Product, and Finance, and drive learning loops.
- Raise the bar: Continuously audit operating gaps, recommend improvements, and hold owners accountable for results.
How you’ll work:
- Be customer-first and outcome-oriented, always linking initiatives to value delivered.
- Operate with clarity over complexity, documenting decisions, owners, and progress visibly.
- Show low ego, high accountability, building trust quickly across all levels.
- Work in weekly and quarterly loops, ensuring progress is visible and measurable.
- Coach and influence, enabling execution across functions and through a distributed network of initiative owners.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years leading transformation, portfolio management, or cross-functional programs in SaaS/technology.
- Proven success managing execution across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Operations in a 150–500 person company.
- Strong planning and change skills, from initiative charter to launch to sustainment.
- Excellent written/verbal communication with a track record of building simple, compelling narratives for executives and boards.
- Strong analytical comfort; able to partner with RevOps, Finance, and Biz Systems to instrument and interpret dashboards.
- Tools: Google Workspace, Jira or similar, project/portfolio tools. O365 tools. Basic SQL/BI experience is a plus.
- Preferred: Experience in AI-enabled product environments, PE-backed transformation, or integration of acquisitions.
How success is measured:
- On-time delivery of initiatives and reduced variance to plan.
- Improved cycle time and reduced rework across critical handoffs.
- Visible adoption of PMO and portfolio standards by initiative owners.
- ELT and Board satisfaction with clarity, decision speed, and reporting discipline.
- Tangible business impact from the initiative portfolio (ARR growth, churn reduction, NRR improvement, customer outcomes).
