Parallel Domain is seeking a hands-on, mid-level Systems Administrator / Technical Operations Specialist to support our internal tools, infrastructure, and people. Based in Vancouver with a flexible hybrid setup, you'll be responsible for ensuring our internal systems are secure, scalable, and user-friendly. You'll be supporting a growing team of ~50 employees, including engineers, product teams, and operations staff. This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on support across multiple platforms.

In this role, you will:
- Serve as the first line of defense for internal IT and system issues, resolving real problems for real people.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure tools and systems operate smoothly.
- Balance immediate support needs with long-term infrastructure improvements.
- Automate routine tasks and enhance internal workflows using smart tooling.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our operational security and IT policies.
- Facilitate a positive employee experience by managing technical aspects of onboarding, access, and equipment setup in partnership with HR.
- Support a hybrid team distributed across Vancouver and remote locations.
What You'll Own:
- IT support for employees, including hardware/software troubleshooting and access issues.
- Onboarding and offboarding processes: user account setup, hardware provisioning, and access management.
- Administration of internal SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, JumpCloud, Slack, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).Management of Linux and Windows servers hosted in AWS, including patching, monitoring, and backups.
- Automation of infrastructure and workflows using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- MacBook and Windows laptop fleet management: setup, updates, and security.
- Software license tracking, asset inventory, and hardware procurement.
- Implementation and maintenance of endpoint security, backup systems, and recovery readiness.
- Documentation of internal IT procedures and system configurations.
- Continuous improvement of our internal tooling, policies, and support systems.
About You:
- 3–5 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or technical support.
- Proficient in managing Linux and Windows servers, preferably within AWS environments.
- Professional experience in administering Google Workspace.
- Familiar with common enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) and Identity Providers (IdP),, Cross-platform account management, Auditable Systems of Record, Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, Malware Intrusion solutions.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Comfortable supporting both Mac and Windows users and devices.
- Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).Strong communicator with a problem-solving mindset and a service-oriented attitude.
- Highly self-directed, capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with: JumpCloud, Atlassian tools suite and Compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
- Experience supporting remote or hybrid engineering or startup teams
