Reporting to the CFO, the Vice President of Accounting will oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and international accounting standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in international accounting, a CPA certification, and extensive experience in both software and manufacturing industries.
What you'll do:
- Lead and manage the accounting department, including financial reporting, auditing and financial controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and international accounting standards.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures tailored to both software and manufacturing operations.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Lead initiatives to improve financial processes and systems.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff.
What you must have:
- CPA certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience with international accounting standards.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Proven experience in both software and manufacturing industries.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in NetSuite preferred
