Support the overall vision, mission and mandates for the company.
Position summaryThe Manager, Events supports the the company in all capacities for various industry events as well as design, production and management of additional public and private events on behalf of Participant. The Manager will maintain a focus on company's presence at film festivals, awards, premieres as well as overseeing select events.


    • Support Vice President, Events and perform tasks including:
    • Manage event logistics and execution. Events include film festival, conferences, awards, tastemaker screenings, FYC screenings, premieres, corporate events, etc. 

    • Film Festival Planning:
    •  Work with Vice President, Events on organizing film festival logistics and events:
    • Plan Participant-hosted festival events, including: venue selection, menu selection, branding/décor/step-and-repeat/A/V,
    • hiring photographer and DJ, manage guest lists and guest check-in, venue walk-thru and breakdown of event
    • Coordinate with festival staff on red carpet logistics and ticket allotment/assignment
    • Liaise with talent/filmmakers on travel requirements and assist in developing talent schedules
    • Secure executive accreditations
    • Book executive accommodation/room blocks 
    • Advance team to host city for event walk-thrus, accreditation pick-up and PM office setup
    • Assist in managing Participant team and filmmaker team itineraries and alert team(s) of schedule changes
    • Manage local security and drivers at international festivals for Participant executives, talent and filmmakers, as appropriate
    • Festival budget planning and reconciliation

    • Managing corporate events, tastemaker screenings, awards events and other one-off events: 
    • Circulate event proposals to event host/requestor including venue selections, F&B options and overall budget estimates
    • Scout venue locations, secure venue, develop budget, select menu, manage guest list and any other needs (A/V, marketing/branding materials, décor, photographer, etc).
    • Create detailed ROS’s / event briefs to share with Executive teams 
    • For borth virtual and in-person screenings: Liaise with the distributor and/or Distribution department to ensure delivery of DCP/film file and conduct “tech check.”
    •  Ensure proper Participant branding is displayed at all partner events (premieres, tastemaker screenings, sponsored festivals, etc.) 
    • Awards: Manage awards calendar of events and develop detailed executive schedules for awards events, including pre and post events throughout the awards weekends
    • Travel to event location as necessary for on-site management and event execution

    • Liaise with other departments as needed:
    • Business Affairs: Work with Business Affairs and vendors on contracts to ensure both parties are satisfied with the agreement.
    • Finance: Work with Finance on conducting film festival budget reconciliations, invoice payment, reimursements, etc. 
    • Communications/Sponsorships: Work with the Communications team to ensure Sponsorship event deadlines, guestlists, materials requirements are met. Manage internal and external invitations for seating at sponsored tables.


    • 5+ years of events management experience preferably at a PR firm, Event/Marketing agency within a TV or film companyBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
    • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail
    • Must be a creative thinker
    • Must be willing to travel upwards of 50% as needed
    • Knowledge of Salesforce and Splash platforms preferred
