As Director of Portfolio Partner Management, you will be focused on managing our long term profitable growth with our insurance offering. This includes managing our carrier relationships from binding authority to programs. This role will increase the ability for Pathpoint to achieve growth with our existing partners and add new ones. This role will collaborate closely with multiple functions, including Product Management, Underwriting Operations, Sales, and Marketing.

What you'll contribute to

    • Work cross functionally (Product, AMs, UWOps) and with our carriers to create tailored, partner-specific growth plans to drive production profitability (growing the business Pathpoint writes with each partner) metrics.
    • Centralized relationship manager for all existing carrier partners at Pathpoint (currently 8 and expect to grow).
    • Partner closely with the Product Lead of Binding Authority to engage in innovation initiatives, product launches, marketing campaigns and short-term projects as appropriate to contribute positively towards success of the overall team and company
    • Advises and supports the Product Lead and Product Managers on prioritization of appetite and supply including opportunities to improve production ratios and items for consideration when launching new products and classes.
    • Analyze and prepare carrier production reviews on a monthly and quarterly basis that will be received / attended by key stakeholders/executives of the carrier and Pathpoint (requires data analysis and presentation, goal setting, commentary, and presentation development).
    • Reviews and reporting should help drive production ratios such as submit to quote, quote to bind, unlocking new business, resolving process/operational related opportunities.
    • Standardize, evaluate, and implement steps needed to support carrier integrations across departments such as Product, Underwriting Operations, and GTM.
    • Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders throughout the organization to develop and implement underwriting strategies to achieve performance goals, identify trends, and develop recommendations for improvement, as needed.
    • Ensures carrier partnership processes are compliant and identify opportunities to improve — referrals, inspections, audits, loss reviews.
    • Work with Head of Product to prospect new carrier relationships including putting together proposals, pitches, and delivering analyses to forecast production and demand.

What we look for

    • 10+ years’ experience within P&C Specialty Lines
    • Familiarity with client management and working with external groups at all levels of the organization, from C-suite, to front line, including strong presentation building, data analysis, and pitching skills.
    • Track record of developing and executing on growth plans that require external buy-in and participation.
    • Ability to use data and analytics to understand and drive underwriting strategy.
    • Excellent history of building and maintaining strong business relationships with brokers, agents, and/or carriers.
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; your communication style is flexible to the situation; you communicate clearly and with a purpose.
    • Demonstrated success collaborating with cross functional stakeholders both internal and external.
    • Highly organized and detail oriented.
    • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis.
