Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead marketing activities in Korea to drive traffic growth and improve conversion across Korean marketplaces such as Coupang and Naver
Implement a data-driven approach to accelerate marketplace sales growth by investing in effective on-platform marketing, including paid search, display ads, platform deals/coupons, retargeting, and merchandising placements
Collaborate with partners and internal teams to determine the goals of digital advertising projects and develop plans to meet them
Research and test effective keywords, bidding strategies, and ad copy to catalyze traffic and sales velocity
Perform market research to build tailored and relevant full-funnel strategies for clients
Oversee brand relationships from a digital advertising perspective and lead all digital advertising performance presentations to partner executives
Lead the creation of localized content, assets, and tools
Liaise with internal team members, advertising agencies, vendors, and other Pattern departments (e.g., sales, operations, legal) as necessary


Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of digital and social media marketing experience
The ideal candidate is a skilled marketing professional with a proven track record in marketing strategy, demand generation, and business development
Experience leading brand messaging and positioning for e-commerce or technology products and services
Expertise of marketing tools and capabilities available within Coupang and Naver Shopping
Demonstrated success in delivering results against sales and marketing plans
Innovative mindset with the ability to envision future company growth and execute strategic plans
Strong analytical and creative skills to develop impactful, fact-based value propositions
Ability to simplify complex processes and technologies into clear concepts (written, graphical, and verbal)
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in e-commerce marketing and measurement
Expertise in analyzing new markets, business opportunities, competitive threats, and monetization models
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
