Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to join our corporate tax team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with federal, international, state, and local tax regulations, supporting tax planning initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of the organization’s financial goals. This position requires strong technical tax knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and/or review of quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740) and related financial statement disclosures.
Prepare and review federal, state, and local corporate income/franchise tax returns and supporting workpapers.
Ensure timely filing of all tax returns and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
Conduct tax research and provide technical support on tax issues, including proposed legislation and regulatory changes.
Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., accounting, legal, finance) to gather and analyze data for tax filings and planning.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in tax reporting and compliance processes.
Assist with tax planning projects including modeling, M&A support, and strategic tax initiatives.
Maintain tax calendar and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
CA or CPA designation required.
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant corporate tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department.
Strong understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Experience with ASC 740 and tax provision software (e.g., OneSource Tax Provision, Corp Tax, etc.).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting/tax software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with international tax compliance and reporting (e.g., BEPS, GILTI, FDII, etc.).
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
Working knowledge of tax technology solutions and automation tools.
Leverage AI for improved quality and efficiency
