As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will work in our Research and Development team, focusing on the design, creation, and optimization of robotic and automation equipment for soil collection, processing, and analysis. This role requires strong interdisciplinary skills encompassing mechanical engineering, electronics, software engineering, and systems design.

Responsibilities

    • Design and develop advanced robotic systems for automated soil collection and analysis.
    • Optimize the functionality and efficiency of our current mechatronic systems.
    • Collaborate with our scientists and engineers to understand their needs and translate them into functional product designs.
    • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of all new designs and modifications.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design files, requirements, and manuals.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in robotics and mechatronics, and propose their implementation where relevant.
    • Ensure all designs and modifications comply with applicable industry safety standards and regulations.

Skills & Requirements

    • BS / MS  in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree is strongly preferred
    • Two years of work experience
    • Proven experience in the design, development, and testing of robotic systems.
    • Strong knowledge of CAD software for designing mechanical systems.
    • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
    • Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators.
    • Experience designing metals and plastic parts, including an understanding of manufacturing processes and the limitations associated with each material
    • Experience designing machine electrical systems and selecting sensors
    • Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively and independently in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation & Benfits

    • $100,000/yr - $120,000/yr
