Legal Counsel (Product - Business Law)

Who are we? 🚀

PayFit simplifies payroll management and HR processes for SMBs. We have built a fast, intuitive and automated SaaS solution to help business owners and HR professionals save time and money allowing them to refocus and what really matters: their employees. Through PayFit, employees have a dedicated access for their payslips and are able to manage efficiently their leave and expense requests. To build such a solution, we have created our own programming language: JetLang. Thanks to JetLang we were able to code Labour Code and collective agreements, and today we continue to add new features.

We have set ourselves a mission to support the digital transformation of HR management through our ever growing range of product features and services. We have a strong presence in France since 2015 and have been quickly growing in Germany, Spain and the UK. More than 3000 companies such as Big Mamma, MinuteBuzz or Sellsy to name a few already trust us. Over 300 PayFiters have already joined the adventure and we have raised 95M€ to keep growing.

Your role : legally support product and engineering teams 💡

Your missions ⭐

- Provide guidance to product and engineering teams on issues related to new and existing products and features through the product development lifecycle
- Build scalable and effective processes to help the launch of new products/features
- Provide strategic support for compliance and internal audits
- Manage the successful delivery of services by outside counsel
- Evaluate the product legal compliance for potential new markets around the world
- Draft terms of use, product policies, and implement related processes (for all PayFit countries) and negotiate, in a pragmatic manner, all types of IT services contracts relating to your missions
- Provide ideas and insights into how the company can work within the law to create amazing product experiences for its customers
- Translating legal advice into actionable guidance for innovative product and business teams
- Work with the legal team on other legal topics (employment law, corporate law, contract law, etc.) for all the countries where PayFit is established

• You have at least 3-5 years or more experience as legal counsel (business law, commercial law, IT law)
• You have a significant sense of autonomy to anticipate mid-term client evolutions and short-term expectations
• You have a background in IT law with important knowledge in data privacy law and dematerialization/digitisation regulations
• You are a problem solver and you are rigorous
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English (German and/or Spain is a +)
• You’re a product lover and you want to support product development, delivery and evolution with a creative and practical approach
• Having an experience in B2B SaaS company in a similar position is a big +
