This Role

You will contribute to the mission of delivering consumer finance at scale. One of the many reasons PayJoy develops innovative products is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. This person will be responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, helping our clients implement PayJoy’s products and scale to thousands or millions of customers.

You will bridge the technical and business worlds as you define and launch services that our customers value and enjoy using. You have a bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at PayJoy speed. You will draw on strong project and account management skills to keep deployments on track and use your communication skills to learn from and educate our clients to help them meet their business objectives. You'll work with teammates across the company, from Product, Engineering, User Experience, Business Development, External Partners and the Executive Team to launch, grow and maybe sunset features and products. Successful candidates will be able to dig into the details and step back to focus on the major opportunities.

Responsibilities

    • Proactively recognize business challenges, map processes, gather requirements and evaluate tools to solve conflicts around resources, schedules, risks, scope and other program-level issues.
    • Influence field teams across the organization and communicate progress, changes, issues, and resolutions clearly to all stakeholders.
    • Effectively collaborate with client technical teams and PayJoy’s product and engineering teams to ensure successful deployments.
    • Create and deliver detailed and customized product demonstrations, helping to craft technical sales strategies and tactics when appropriate.
    • Work closely with Product teams to define, test, and eventually implement new global product releases and client specific bug fixes or feature requests.

Requirements

    • BA/BS degree in a technical field with 4+ years of program/product management experience.
    • Aptitude for technology with technical understanding of APIs, and able to learn new tools quickly.
    • Able to synthesize data and analytics to formulate sound program objectives, and problem solving.
    • Proven ability to manage ambiguity, and a preparedness to take on what is necessary to get things done.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and manage strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues, and external partners. 
    • English required. Spanish is a plus.
