This Role

PayJoy is looking for a Merchant Operations Manager in Quito responsible for leading a high performance and highly skilled operations team. You will be tasked with managing the day to day activities of the team focused on giving support to other teams (locally and globally) as well our partners, monitoring merchant collections, upkeeping shared databases and assuring that all processes are functional and correct. This role will also be responsible for assuring successful project rollouts from our product as well finance teams. An ideal candidate should have professional experience in operations or business, as well as a background based in finance or accounting, be driven by results and can easily work with other teams in an environment of rapid change.

Responsibilities

    • Manage a high performance operations team.
    • Supervise and assure that day to day operations function smoothly.
    • Manage financial, transactional and administrative databases focused on our partners.
    • Supervise and report on merchant collections results.
    • Follow up and report on project rollouts from the product and finance team.·
    • Review and monitor company CRM workflow.
    • Identify potential risks and improvements in operational processes.
    • Give support to internal and external allied teams.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree related to business or finance. Masters degree highly valued.
    • At least 5 years of experience in finance, operations or a related field.
    • Experience in finance, operations, business, data analysis, administration or accounting.
    • Advanced Skills in MS Excel/Google Sheets.
    • Ability to think critically, with an analytical mindset, measuring results before and after project delivery.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
    • Experience in managing high performing teams.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and fast-changing environment.
    • Collaborative, team player and strong leader focused on delivering results.
    • Advanced oral and written English skills.
