This Role

As an Key Account Manager for PayJoy’s Colombia, you will play a crucial role in our company's growth strategy, focusing on our top accounts. You will be responsible for nurturing and expanding these key partner relationships and leading a dedicated team to ensure we grow these accounts with high quality, profitable sales; acting in a short and long-term scope.

PayJoy is hiring a Key Account Manager  who can help us scale the business within the Independent Retailers Market  throughout the country.  The right candidate will be a talented and ambitious leader, looking for a high-growth opportunity in existing partners,  who´s also deeply motivated by, and aligned with PayJoy’s mission to empower the next billion smartphone users.

As KAM, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic business plans to drive growth in sales and improvement in KPI  in assigned partners. To be successful in this role, you must be entrepreneurial, competitive in nature, self-driven, ambitious and a creative thinker with an engaging personality.

Responsibilities

    • Account Growth: Develop and execute account plans that drive profitable growth for a group of top accounts. Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding our product or service offerings to meet the partners’ evolving needs.

    • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders at all levels in the partner’s organization. Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues promptly. Identify key internal stakeholders to escalate and resolve incidences to keep the sales process moving forward.

    • Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to assess account performance, track KPIs, and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize account profitability.

    • Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication between the partner, internal teams, and stakeholders. Regularly report on account performance, share insights, and align strategies to exceed growth and profitability goals.

    • Operational support: Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments to ensure favorable terms for both the partner and PayJoy. Ensure compliance with our internal processes of setup, fraud controls, reconciliation, invoicing, etc.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Proven experience as an Account Manager or in a similar role, especially focusing on top accounts.
    • Demonstrated success in growing key accounts and meeting revenue targets.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis.
    • Understanding of market trends and basic industry knowledge
    • Customer-centric approach with a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
    • Exceptional ability to handle pressure from internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
    • Proficiency in English is required
