This Role

PayJoy is hiring an Account Payable (AP) Analyst in Mexico to join our exciting and talented team. We are building a new Global AP function, so you will have the opportunity to help build and streamline the AP department, bring all AP activities in house, and design AP system implementation (Netsuite). You will report to the Global AP Manager in Brazil and work in parallel with the Treasury and Accounting team in Mexico.

Responsibilities

    • Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy of coding and data entry.
    • Analyzing workflow processes
    • Strong knowledge of electronic banking
    • Ensure the review and recording of invoices into the accurate financial period in the ERP System.
    • Ensure time payment for each supplier
    • Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure that all outstanding payments are accurate.
    • Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
    • Answer vendor inquiries and resolve any payment discrepancies.
    • Perform month-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts payable balances and preparing accruals.
    • Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to management.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or comparable fields.
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and resolve problems.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.).
    • Fluent or advanced in English.
