This Role
As an Accountant at PayJoy Colombia, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Colombian accounting standards and regulations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software and manual processes as needed.
Record all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, expenses, and revenue.
Ensure all financial documents are organized and easily accessible for auditing and reporting purposes.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Generate financial reports for management and stakeholders to support decision-making.
Stay up-to-date with Colombian tax regulations and ensure compliance with all tax requirements.
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
Assist in tax planning and optimization strategies.
Assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
Implement audit recommendations and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
Address financial inquiries from customers and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with Colombian accounting standards (Colombian GAAP) and other relevant financial regulations.
Monitor changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an accountant in Colombia, with a strong understanding of local accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Nesuite and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is preferable.
