About the role

    • As a Deputy Compliance Officer, you will be responsible to supporting the development and maintenance of a strong compliance framework, ensuring the SEDPE operates in line with regulatory requirements, particularly those from the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC), and complies with internal policies, AML, and CTF obligations.

What you will do

    • Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Compliance Management System.
    • Monitor regulatory changes (financial, AML/CTF, data protection, etc.) and assess their impact on operations.
    • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and support the development of mitigation strategies.
    • Oversee transaction monitoring and escalation of suspicious activity reports (SARs) in coordination with the AML Officer.
    • Support internal training initiatives on compliance, ethics, and conduct.
    • Participate in internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and ensure timely responses and remediations.
    • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports, including those to the SFC, UIAF, and other applicable authorities.
    • Collaborate with legal, risk, operations, and technology teams to ensure compliance is embedded across functions.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation and controls.

What you need to succeed

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Must demonstrate at least one hundred and fifty (150) hours of training in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) risk management through specialization programs, courses, diploma programs, seminars, conferences, or any other similar educational activities
    • At least 3–5 years of experience in compliance, preferably within a regulated financial entity or fintech.
    • Familiarity with regulatory bodies like SFC and UIAF (or local equivalents).
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or local equivalents (nice to have).
