PayZen is an exciting FinTech startup backed by the world’s leading investors. PayZen’s mission is to solve healthcare affordability. Our first product seamlessly takes the pain out of medical bills for both patients and providers. Providers get higher rates of repayment and accelerated cash flow. Patients always get an option to pay over time using an interest-free, no-fee payment plan.
PayZen is a fast-growing company which is establishing its core development team in Israel and looking for a lead backend developer to produce scalable FinTech software solutions. As a senior developer, it is hard to overstate the impact you’ll have on our product and company trajectory.
What you will do
- Collaborate with product managers and other software engineers to build groundbreaking user-centric products that change peoples lives
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Implement new features and user interfaces, keeping mobile-first always on top of your mind
- Help the team succeed as a whole
- Have a chance to influence the architecture and design of the product
- Take part in architectural decisions and discussions
- Solve complex problems, create object models, define APIs, build web services, and more
- Work directly with others (engineers and other internal stakeholders) to develop a solid understanding of the business application and requirements for which the application is being designed
What you bring
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience in JavaScript technologies
- At least 3 years of experience in Node.JS
- Thorough understanding of user experience and product strategy
- Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
- Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Appreciation for clean and well-documented code
- You have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken, and are a natural communicator
- Experience working remotely - nice to have
