Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be on the front lines of our sales team—researching leads, initiating conversations, and learning how to turn interest into opportunity. This is an ideal role for someone looking to begin a career in B2B sales, with plenty of support, training, and mentorship along the way. You'll gain hands-on experience with technology sales and be part of a collaborative team focused on customer success.
What You’ll Do
- Reach out to prospective customers via email, phone, and social media to introduce PDI solutions.
- Assist with scheduling and preparing for discovery calls and software demonstrations.
- Research companies and industries to understand potential business needs and align them with PDI offerings.
- Learn how to qualify sales opportunities and support the pipeline-building process.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems (like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Support sales executives with account coordination, follow-ups, and setting up client meetings.
- Participate in training sessions to develop your understanding of PDI’s products and value proposition.
- Collaborate with team members across sales, marketing, and customer success to ensure a smooth prospect-to-customer journey.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A growth mindset with a willingness to learn and ask questions.
- Comfortable using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks.
- A team player attitude with a customer-first mindset.
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Internship or part-time experience in sales, customer service, marketing, or tech.
- Exposure to CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
- Interest in technology, software, or SaaS products.
