Role Overview
The PDI Manager, Risk & Compliance is responsible for ensuring that the segment’s data management, governance, and monetization practices align with internal standards, legal regulations, and industry best practices. This role involves developing and implementing policies, conducting audits, educating stakeholders, and collaborating across departments to ensure data integrity and compliance while supporting data-driven business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the legal team, develop, implement, and maintain data compliance policies, processes, and frameworks to ensure the organization’s data management and monetization practices adhere to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee segment data governance processes to ensure data is collected, stored, used, and disposed of in compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create guidelines for data sharing, access control, data retention, and data destruction.
- In conjunction with the legal team, monitor compliance with data privacy laws and regulations and ensure ongoing alignment with evolving legal requirements.
- Serve as the business segment point of contact for data protection authorities and manage data-related audits, inspections, and compliance inquiries in conjunction with the legal team.
- Design and implement a data compliance monitoring program to ensure all data handling processes align with established policies and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly evaluate client contract templates and consumer privacy policies looking for opportunities to clearly call out rights and optimize to mutually benefit consumers, clients and the company.
- Work closely with IT, Legal, Security, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure data compliance requirements are embedded into new projects, technologies, and services.
- Create and maintain an incident response plan for potential data compliance issues, ensuring the organization is prepared to respond quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate with business units to create compliance checkpoints and guidelines for data-driven revenue models, ensuring that all monetization activities protect data privacy and integrity.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-6 years of relevant experience, including 1-3 years in a managerial role.
- Advanced planning and organizing skills.
- Expertise in data collection and analysis for decision-making.
- Proficiency in policy development and procedural adherence.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored to varied audiences.
- Ability to lead and manage complex security initiatives independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Certifications: Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
