Role Overview
 
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and self-driven individuals, looking to join a dynamic role in our development team. The ideal candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment, so you must be flexible and be able to multi-task between resolving support issues and working on projects to meet companies’ goals. This individual would need to liaise with the Support teams to understand delivery related issues and strategically analyze application-level issues while keeping in mind the current functionality of the application.

Key Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoot, test, and validate software issues; resolve issues with due urgency and maintain thorough documentation of all software solutions
    • Participate in design decisions for new and existing application development, proactively escalating issues and seeking assistance to overcome obstacles
    • The ability to identify and correct software issues within the code while triaging
    • Perform testing to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
    • Use a disciplined approach in an Agile environment to assist in analysis and determination of preferred solutions to technical challenges
    • Perform engineering level tests to find defects; troubleshoot and debug development and production issues, collaborating with QA Engineers to develop optimal product test plans
    • Provide on-call (after hours) support for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Qualifications

    • Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or similar
    • 3-6 years’ experience designing and developing new or maintaining existing software applications in a software product development environment
    • Experience in Java, C and C++, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Delphi
    • Knowledge of databases and operating systems
    • Familiarity with the ADO
    • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to independently work as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused team
    • Strong communication skills with both verbal and written communication skills
    • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deliver high-quality solutions and receive constructive feedback
    • Experience in using an issue tracking system a plus
